About the event

Join Julie Cornell, a NASM/AFAA-certified group fitness instructor, avid yoga practitioner and weight-trainer for this introduction to resistance training. We will begin with a yoga-based warm-up and progress to resistance-training exercises using your own bodyweight as well as resistance bands. 

Resistance training helps promote muscle growth and improve metabolism and bone health/density.  This class will increase your strength and confidence in performing these exercises at home or in the gym and are a great addition to your yoga practice. We will focus on muscle activation and basic movements like glute bridges, lunges, squats, and shoulder mobility. Modifications will be provided for most exercises.  

Booking: Register through the regular schedule, this is billed as a standard class.
